28.09.2011 - Party at ... a lot of places

There was a irish festival in Oulu this week, so there was an irish concert in Leskinen pub. Of course we went, I love irish music! That started about 21:00, the party night has already begun.

A record of the concert, maybe you can not see anything, but you can listen it.

After that, we went to Hevimesta, a heavy pub in the city center. That pub has a "happy hour" between 22:00 and 01:00. Beers for 1 euro!!!

Later, after 24:00, my birthday began and the polish guys came, and the madness began too! We started to drink a lot and becoming drunk xDD. We stayed in Tivoli, but the entrance was so expensive, and then we went to Kaarle.

Later, when the pub closed, we went to take a late dinner xDD. We were asking for some place to take some food, and finally a really drunk girl guided us to a turkish shop. We ate a kebab and it tasted really good!

Finally, at 6:00 or maybe 7:00 we went to sleep at Kaajantie. A place far from everywhere. The party continued in the morning, because it was my birthday xDDD. But I will tell you that in another post.

Music Room at the University

It's something unthinkable for a spanish guy. We have a music room in the university of Oulu with electric guitar, piano, drums and bass, and if you're a student of Oulu you can enter for free!

Northern Lights Fail x 2

It was supossed that Sunday & Monday were a good day to see the northern lights. According to the forecast, we'd have a lot of probabilities to see the northern lights. Nothing could be further from the truth. We had 2 big FAILS xDDD.

First, we tried to see the northern lights on Sunday. We took all our equipment (cameras, blankets, and so on) and we went to the lake Pyykosjarvi. And, we saw nothing xDD.

Our second chance was on Monday. We went to the Nallikari beach, on the west side of Oulu. First we tried near the lighthouse, but, of course, we saw nothing again xD.

Later, we saw something which looks like the northern lights...

But, it wasn't. It was just distorted lights from the city center xDDD

So, finally, demoralized and with a strong wind which was harassing us, we went to make campfires at the end of the night.

Maybe next time we can see the fucking northern lights xDD.

23.09.2011 - Pre-party at Tirolintie & Kaarle party

Friday 23th, another crazy razzle night and more xDD. First we had a pre-party in Tirolintie, a student residence in Alppila. Beers, music, drunk people: a real party! xDD.

After that, we went to the disco Kaarle by bike. Free entrance that night!

21.09.2011 - Tivoli party

There is not much to tell. We had a party at Tivoli, a disco of the city center. Well, not much to tell but a lot of photos to show xDD.

Student Sport Card

Here in Oulu, students have a lot of benefits. One of them is that we can pay 33 euros once, and go to the gym from monday to friday, all the year, without paying more money. That's the student sport card.

And that's not all, with the student sport card we are allowed to enter to the indoors court: basketball, tenis, and so on.  It's really cheap!

16.09.2011 - International Dinner

The ESN (a student guild of the University of Oulu) organised the International Dinner yesterday. The rules were simple: bring a typical food of your country and taste the food of the other people.

A lot of spanish guys made "Tortillas", so we wanted to do something different. That's the reason because we cooked "Torrijas" xD.

After that, we went to the International Dinner. There were a lot of differents foods: japanese, french, brazilian, finnish, italian and so on. Of course there was spanish food too xD.

In my opinion, the best was the japanese food. They cooked sushi, sashimi and more foods wich I don't know the name. But all the food were absolutly delicious. I don't have photos of the japanese food because sold out too soon! I didn't have enough time to take photos! xDD.

I have to say, in fact, that our Torrijas sold out really soon too xDD.

Of course, after the dinner we had a little party in Club 16.

14.09.2011 - Pre-party at Club 16 and Kaarle party

It was a cool day. First we had a pre-party at club 16. Well, in fact, the owner of the apartment was surprised with an improvised party in her living room. We have photos of course, and one video!

And after that, we went to the Kaarle disco in the city center. And we went by bike! It is assumed that there was a Caribbean party in the Kaarle, but we didn't see nothing like that. It was not a theme party!
