Near to Yliopistokatu there is a special pizzeria called Romeo. In that place you can eat really huge pizzas, and there is a special challenge. If you eat the biggest pizza between 3 person in 40 minutes, you will earn a ticket for another huge pizza for free.
We tried to achieve the challenge, but it was impossible. We ate 3/4 of the pizza, the last piece defeated us. Maybe we will try it another day, who knows...

18.02.2012 - Poroferia festival
I don't remember if Poroferia Festival is exactly the name of the event, but it would be something similar xD. Actually, the event was kind of weird: flamenco music and reindeers together in a festival in the market square of Oulu.
Does it sound weird? What about if I say that some of the flamenco songs were sung by finnish girls? Yeah, probably it sounds more weird xD. But actually it was really funny xD.
Special mention to the sunny day that we had the pleasure to see in Oulu. The sun normally doesn't appear easily here xD.
We saw some stands where we could buy handmade things (material: reindeer of course xD), such as horns, skins, hats, and so on. Of course, they were also selling reindeer meat and sausages xD.
After the walk around, we saw some reindeers lying beside a tree. So we decided to take some photos with them (typical xD).
And saving the best for the last: the reindeer race!

09.02.2012 - Poland trip (part 6)
We were totally tired due to the trip around Poland, so that night I slept 12 hours and I woke up a bit late xD. It will be my last day in Poland, but we were in Sieradz, and this city is not a really interesting place. Is a small village so there are not many things to do in winter.
Anyway, my friend was showing me city. The old town, the ancient cathedral, and so on. Sieradz is a nice city, not too big, but is ok xD.
Afterwards, we went to the supermarket, because I wanted to buy vodka and bring it to Finland xDD. The diference between the prices are really really high. In Finland, one bottle of vodka (good one) is about 18 €. In Poland, one bottle of vodka (really good one) is about 6 €. And of course, another interesting thing is the Spyritus, a typical Polish drink xD.
Once I had my "souvenirs" from Sieradz, we went to take the lunch. We didn't do any interesting thing that afternoon, except going to the Spa. Located about 40 km far from Sieradz, there is a good and cheap spa. Warm pools, sauna, and so on. We went there because is really cheap, 7 zloty I guess (1.75 € xD). So we spent the afternoon there, but of course I don't have photos xD.
Afterwards, just dinner and sleep, and the next morning I went to the airport to take my flight. Unfortunately, the Poland trip had ended.

08.02.2012 - Poland trip (part 5)
We had to wake up early that morning, because the train departure time was at 16:00. So we didn't have too much time to see Krakow. So we just woke up, took the breakfast (breakfast buffet included) and we went to see the city center. Krakow is a beautiful city, the sights of the city center are really nice.
After the walk around the city centre, we went to the royal castle. The name of the castle is Wawel, and is located really close to the old town. Unfortunatley, cameras were not allowed inside, so I only have photos outside.
Afterwards, we went to the old jewish neighbourhood. Not really interesting but we found there a really beautiful Synagogue.
Finally, we came back to the hostel to pick up our baggage. During the walk, we passed through the city center again, to buy some souvenirs and take more photos xD.
Then, around 15:00, we went to the train station. Our next destination was Sieradz, but not for all of us. Two of our polish friends said goodbye in the Krakow train station. I went to Sieradz because is the hometown of my polish friend and last flatmate in Oulu. We arrived to Sieradz around 21:00, completely exhausted. So we just took the dinner and went to sleep. The next day would be my last day in Poland.

07.02.2012 - Poland trip (part 4)
Next morning we woke up a bit late (maybe because of the last party, maybe not xD). Wroclaw is a really beautiful city, so we decided to see more. Of course, it was worth!
First, we went to the university of Wroclaw, why? because is located in an old historical building. Outside, it looks like a church or a city hall. Is really interesting.
Finally, we arrived to the oldest part of Wroclaw. We pass through an old bridge, which is full of locks. It seems that the couples put the locks there as a sign of love.
And finally, we left Wroclaw in the evening, by train. Our next destination was Krakow. We spent about 5 hours to get Krakow. There we met another polish friend and we went to take the dinner. Typical polish food this time, I don't remember the name of the food but it tasted really good xD. Afterwards, we went to the hostel to leave the baggage and then, party!!

Afterwards, we were walking around the city center again. A curious thing are the dwarfs which are located in different spots of the city. Maybe they are sitting in the sidewalk beside the road, or in a window. In fact, there are a lots of these dwarfs around the city. Why? I'm not sure, maybe just for fun xDD.
Finally, we went to the oldest part of the city. We went there by foot, so during the walk we could apreciate the beautiful landscape. The river oder meanders throughout the city. Along of all its curves, there are bridges. Actually, Wroclaw has about 120 bridges. Yes, too much xD.
