26.01.2012 - NISO & ESN evening

Last thursday the NISO association organized in the university a meeting for the new students of master, degree and so on. The ESN participated too.


First they were talking abou the associations: the purpose, their features, the trips they will organize, and so on.

Later they organized some games with the purpose of all the new students can start to meet each other. First we did a weird african dance, and later a game about questions, that is, we had to ask a selected questions to our current partner, and, after 30 seconds, change the partner. It was funny xDD.

And finally, it was our turn xDD. Davor and I were playing some songs with our guitars. We tried to encourage people to sing with us, even we gave them the lyrics printed. But people were a bit shy at the begining. But later, even a finnish girl was asking for some songs she wanted to sing. It was a good evening finally xDD.

24.01.2012 - Snow, snow and more snow

These days we are having good temperatures. Of course I'm refering to very low temperatures xDD. We have reached -18º, closer to that -28º which was the lowest temperature the last year xDD. It's snowing almost everyday, so the mountains of snow are everywhere. The landscape is quite interesting now xD.

22.01.2012 - Ice Hole Swimming!

There were other events like this in december and the begining of january, but unfortunately I missed all of them. Finally this sunday I had the chance to prove this amazing finnish custom.

The idea is simple: going into the (frozen) river, and swim for a few seconds. I swam into the river 3 times. And my record inside the water was about 30 seconds xDD. The 3rd time I went into the river, I removed my skullcap and I dived for a while (yeah, 5 seconds or something xDD). I have to say that is an unforgetable experience xD.

14.01.2012 - Hello Again, Oulu

Last Saturday, I arrived Oulu again. Christmas holydays have ended and now is time to begin the new semester. Finally we have a real winter in Oulu, with temperatures of -15º.
